Northeast Snowstorm Hits Canada as Blizzard

(Photo by Twitter user DanRobichaud) By , Expert Senior Meteorologist: The snowstorm that moved through the Northeast on Saturday was slamming part of Atlantic Canada as a blizzard Sunday. The storm has the potential to bring 30 to 45 cm (12 to 18 inches) of snow to northwestern Nova Scotia, much of Prince Edward Island and southeastern New Brunswick and central Newfoundland. Winds will increase over the region, causing extensive blowing and drifting of the snow on the ground and creating rough seas.
