Pet owners in and around Saskatoon are being advised to be keep up-to-date with their animals’ vaccinations.
Since early November, Saskatoon police have received several reports of coyotes in and near the city, says a release issued by the City of Saskatoon. And on Dec. 16, two coyotes that had wandered into the city were euthanized.
“Veterinarians later determined that the animals had canine distemper, which is a viral disease affecting wild and domestic animals. Although distemper poses no risk to humans, pets are susceptible,” says the release...Continue reading...
