Researchers at the University of Sydney have claimed that bed bugs are evolving thicker skin in an effort to ‘fight back’ against insecticides designed to kill them: “Some bedbugs have evolved a thicker layer of cuticle, they found. This is the shell-like outer layer, or exoskeleton, on the bloodsucking little bugs. And it turns out that resistance is cuticle. That extra thick protection gives the bug new and improved armour.”...https://creation.com/bed-bugs-are-fighting-back

An Alberta town remains divided over a controversial program to kill feral rabbits at a cost of nearly $300 per bunny.
Ten years ago, the Town of Canmore had an estimated 2,000 feral
rabbits. They were former pets that had been breeding outdoors for
decades in the tourist town near Banff.

If you have ever considered moving to San Francisco, California think again.
San Francisco is the second-most expensive city to live in the United
States. And if you don’t think that is bad, San Fran is also overloaded
with human waste and trash. This year alone authorities have received
over 16,000 feces-related complaints.
This is completely unsanitary and unsafe for anyone to bring their
families, even for a vacation. Just this week we have discovered 16,022
complaints have been made. The complaints are for “feces” in the
streets, and other things like “shit,” “poop,” and “excrement.”... http://www.americanjournalreview.com/complaints-soar-san-francisco/

A pride of hungry lions in a South African reserve just saved the day, at least for a herd of rhinos. The poachers, who had illegally entered that reserve with a gun and axe to kill those rhinos, were not so lucky.
The big cats mauled and killed at least two — possibly three —
poachers, leaving behind just their bloodied and partly-eaten body
parts, according to news reports.
Cyrus the Great, also called Cyrus II, (born 590–580 bce, Media, or Persis [now in Iran]—died c. 529, Asia), conqueror who founded the Achaemenian empire, centred on Persia and comprising the Near East from the Aegean Sea eastward to the Indus River. He is also remembered in the Cyrus legend—first recorded by Xenophon, Greek soldier and author, in his Cyropaedia—as a tolerant and ideal monarch who was called the father of his people by the ancient Persians.
