BOMSHEL - Fight Like A Girl
Little girl alone on the playground
Tired of gettin' teased and gettin' pushed around
Wishin' she was invisible
To them
She ran home cryin'
"Why do they hate me?"
And Mama wiped the tears and said
"Baby, you're brave and you're beautiful.
So, hold your head high.
Don't ever let 'em define
The light in your eyes.
Love yourself, give them Hell.
You can take on this world.
You just stand and be strong
And then fight
Like a girl."
At 31 she was wheelin' and dealin'
Kept on hittin' that same glass ceilin'
She was never gonna be one of the boys, no
She coulda gave up on her ambition
And spent the rest of her life just wishin'
Instead she listened to her mama's voice sayin'
"Hold your head high.
Don't ever let 'em define
The light in your eyes.
Love yourself, give them Hell.
You can take on this world.
You just stand and be strong
And then fight
Like a girl."
Oh, with style and grace
Kick ass and take names
Ten years of climbin' that ladder
Oh, but money and power don't matter
When the doctor said "the cancer spread"
She holds on tight to her husband and babies
And says "this is just another test God gave me.
And I know just how to handle this"
I'll hold my head high
I'll never let this define
The light in my eyes
Love myself, give it Hell
I'll take on this world
If I stand and be strong
No, I'll never give up
I will conquer with love
And I'll fight like
Like a girl
Ooh
Tired of gettin' teased and gettin' pushed around
Wishin' she was invisible
To them
She ran home cryin'
"Why do they hate me?"

Tim McGraw's Sobriety a Work in Progress
"Don't read the Wall Street Journal? Not to worry. I have found the Tim McGraw interview online and will share with you what I consider to be the major highlight. There's a lot about the music industry, Faith Hill and the kind of songs he should be singing now that he's in his next 40 years. Then there's this: "When I first started, I was really nervous. You could hear my voice quiver. So I started drinking a bit and that helped. A lot of entertainers have a few drinks before going onstage and don't overdo it. Me, it turned into a bigger habit. But I stopped that. I was getting older, and I was thinking about my kids," he says. He adds that getting sober has been a work in progress three or four years, but he has been completely done for over a year. "I think I'm more comfortable now. I can feel a real connection with the audience that maybe I was masking before." http://blog.cmt.com/2009-10-16/tim-mcgraws-sobriety-a-work-in-progress/

So long, Israel
Written by Fenris Badwulf
Wednesday, 14 October 2009
Just the other day, on public transit, I spotted a young man of military age. That age when youth are inducted into the military. Eighteen? Twenty? And this young man was a Jew. He was wearing a skull cap.
This brought to mind the other Jews I knew when I was in University. All of military age, in good shape, no infirmities. And while it is not a representative sample, it is jarring to realize that there are Israeli's shirking their obligation, their military service, to their homeland. Should they not be serving in the IDF? * Maybe they not Israeli's proper. Hmmm. Given the history, and most recently, the recent history of the Jews, should they not be eager to volunteer?
Now, when I wander across the grounds of a University, I now notice the military age Jewish men. Each one is an individual, I realize. They might have good reasons to not defend their country. Maybe it is not their country. Maybe they do not like it's politics. Leaving your countrymen, your kinsfolk, in the lurch, its women and children, exposed to murder, torture, and rape, is a common leftist approach. Cowards do it too. Maybe the nice military age Jew is not an Israeli. And maybe, all the other military age Jews I see on the grounds are Canadians, or leftists, or cowards.
Now, I too share in Israel's fate. Old alliances dictate that if Israel marches to war, my country just might too. And Israel is more likely to be consumed in war if its armed forces are understrength, or if it's enemies perceive it to be weak. And, if all these young men of military age are shirking cowards or shirking leftists, then the hungry eyes of the enemies of Israel know as well. And their war, just might become my war, all because of cowardice, or leftism.
Alot of the bright lights of our Canadian leftist movement are Jewish. Some can be seen sporting kaffiyehs And when they were of military age, did they put their lives on the line for their country?
The moral issues and internal politics of Israel I am neither expert nor involved. As for the reasons why some youth chooses to attend a Canadian university rather than defend his country are beyond my reach. But I can address the political implications of all those leftist Jews. The State of Israel is blessed with few natural resources (with which one can buy friends), and fewer ideologues overseas who support the right of Israel to exist. And all those leftist Jews are working so hard to alienate the few friends that Israel has left, er, right. When Jewish organizations fund the abhorrent fascists, they do more disservice than they realize to the people that raised up Disraeli. *
It does not really matter what my observations, calculations, or conclusions are. I have do divisions, no artillery, and no marines, and no suicide bombers. However, when those dark intelligences (who have divisions, artillery, marines, and suicide bombers) weigh up the cost of destroying Israel, will they not add the crumbs of souls of those Jews who act to weaken their own state through their absence or their activism?
From where I stand, I see Israel as a divided land. Yes, there are factions and disagreements among factions. But the left faction is busy destroying the country. The left attacks it's own friends and runs away from it's own enemies. This grieves me. However the whispers of political expediency are busy among the tired friends of Israel. What would Bismarck * do?
The erasure of Israel would certainly lighten up international diplomacy. This would be a pleasant change. And all that money used to subsidize Israel could be spent elsewhere. This would give many hope. And the Muslim vote in Canada is socially conservative, and would flip to the Tories, even as Tel Aviv burns. Certainly a feat worthy of the Nobel prize, all that change and hope.
It is distasteful to think or contemplate abandoning Israel to it's enemies. But with so many of it's own abandoning it themselves, who am I to risk blood, toil, and treasure to struggle for those that struggle against me, their friend? Oh well. That is called calling a spade, a spade.
So long, Israel.
