'Get a job' a slur against the poor: OCAP

Those poor poor homeless...image "Telling anti-poverty protesters to “Get a job” is the same as hurling racial or homophobic epithets, an Ontario Coalition Against Poverty member said Wednesday.
“Every poor person who receives social assistance or unemployment knows what that means,” Gaetan Heroux said at City Hall Wednesday. “It means you’re lazy, get a job, get out of my hair stop bothering me.
“When they put that “Get a job” on the front page of the Sun, they used those bigoted words to attack poor people.
“What’s the difference between that and saying racial comments to a black person, or homophobic comments?”..."story here
