Sask. highway named for heroes-Brad Wall and others gather to remember those who have lost their lives in service to their country

Courtney Mintenko/News Talk RadioReported by Courtney Mintenko   A section of the Trans-Canada Highway just west of Regina was named the "Saskatchewan Highway of Heroes" at a ceremony on Wednesday afternoon, reminding some in attendance of family members who gave their lives in service.

Attendee Donna Kadash thought of her nephew Corporal James Hayward Arnal, as snowbirds flew overhead.

"He's probably sitting on the front one there, with his hands held high."

Arnal was killed in Afghanistan over three years ago.

Premier Brad Wall spoke on how the sign will remember him, as well as all Canadian soldiers who have lost their lives in service to the country.
