Saskatoon’s city council has been asked to change the bylaw to allow egg-laying chickens within city limits.
By Charles Hamilton, The StarPhoenix. The great backyard chicken debate is once again on Saskatoon’s city council agenda.
Council will decide Monday night whether or not to reopen the debate about changing a bylaw banning backyard chicken coops within city limits.
“I think chickens are a good thing because we live in a time where access to good food is so difficult, especially in certain parts of the city,” said Graham MacDonald, who penned the letter to council asking for the bylaw to be changed...
