Many people question the necessity of
service pets, but when it comes to soldiers… there is no question! This
is the remarkable story of two war heroes who fought together overseas.
US Army soldiers Derek and Jake were both terribly injured while saving
lives in Afghanistan. Derek saved Jake’s life in the terrible incident
which left them both disabled.
When Derek returned home, he signed up to get a special friend… service dog Gabriel. Sadly, Derek never lived to meet his angel Gabriel. What happened next was amazing. Jake got a phone call that Derek wanted Gabriel to help serve him and for Jake, Gabriel turned out to be a lifesaver.
