'A Coward and a Killer': Protesters Target Dentist Who Paid $55,000 to Kill Cecil the Lion
Tributes to the butchered lion have poured in thousands of miles away at Dr Walter Palmer's office in Bloomington, Minnesota, where protesters dressed as 'dentist hunters' also threw stuffed lions at his house.
Palmer claims he had trusted his local guides to meet legal guidelines on his trip to Africa, during which he shot Cecil with a crossbow on July 1 before skinning and beheading him.
The hunter's office and practice website have become a target for animal rights activists disgusted by the dentist's actions, which have resulted in Zimbabwe authorities demanding to speak with him about the poaching on Tuesday...Continue reading...

Barack Hussein Obama, The Muslim President - Canada Free Press
By Obie Usategui
...While the domestic landscape seems to be filled with all kinds of controversial issues, on the international front, the Obama administration has really lowered the bar to yet unspeakable new lows. Since he first took the office of the presidency, Obama has shown an uncanny passion for pandering with the enemy as well as a craving for alienating our allies. The Muslim in him, continues to rear its ugly head over and over again, thus, his being the first president to send $200 million to a terrorist organization (Hamas) after Congress had explicitly frozen the money for fear it would fund attacks against civilians. Day in and day out, Obama’s doctrine of pacifism continues to be tested by all who smell the man’s vulnerability to capitulate when confronted – a realization which has all but earned us the mockery of our most execrated adversaries.
Just as I thought I had seen it all, when I first heard, on December 17th, 2014, about Obama’s conspiracy with none other than Pope Francis, the head of the largest Christian church in the world, of their approving intent to thaw the 50-year plus frozen relationship between the U.S. and the communist island of Cuba and its ruthless dictators, Fidel and Raul Castro, followed by a most recent harmonious exchange of embassies of both countries, just then and there, I realized this had to top one of Obama’s most disgraceful political ploys ever as the S.O.B., dared to shake the bloodied hands of two of the world’s most renown assassins. But I was wrong. Boy, was I wrong.
Just as soon as I thought I had seen it all, just as soon as I realized I had not - incredibly as that may appear. Matter of fact, all I had seen up to now, seemed to pale next to Obama’s most pejorative act yet, bar none, when I learned about our preposterous nuclear treaty with Iran - a nuclear treaty with a country that on the day following the announcement of the agreement, pompously showed crowds chanting “death to America”. Well done, Mr. President. But, then again, what could we all expect when negotiations for this repugnant treaty were carried out by this administration’s most flagrant idiot, as is John Kerry...(Read Full Article)

Parks Canada recovery project flies trout from Sawback to Rainbow Lake

Herald archives[photo] By
Sarah Offin BANFF, Alta. – Fish were never meant to fly, but the once simple
existence of westslope cutthroat trout has become somewhat complicated,
and caused Parks Canada to take action.
“In certain water bodies they’ve been entirely eliminated. Those are areas closer to the Bow Valley and human settlement, but also where a lot of the stocking was done. That’s what sort of caused the problem, going back as far as 100 years ago,” said Mark Taylor, an aquatic ecologist with Parks Canada.
Cutthroat trout are a threatened species. Populations in Banff National Park have been driven out by rainbow trout, which were introduced as a favored fish for anglers over a century ago. Cutthroats breed with the rainbows, creating a hybrid species...Continue reading...

Bilderberg Group meets amid conspiracy theories, heavy security, news blackout - Update
By Dave Boyer:
Depending on your level of suspicion, the Bilderberg Group is either a secretive group of powerful elites bent on global domination or a secretive group of powerful elites with big ideas and bigger heads.
Cunning powerbrokers or vain blowhards, the members of the Bilderberg Group arrived at a resort in the Austrian Alps Thursday for the start of their annual three-day meeting amid heavy security, protesters, conspiracy theories and a news blackout.
Among the reported attendees are former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger; Thomas Donilon, former White House national security adviser under President Obama; former Obama campaign manager Jim Messina; former CIA Director David Petraeus; Mary Erdoes, CEO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management; Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands; Goldman Sachs executive Robert Zoellick; Jose Barroso, former president of the European Union Commission and executives of companies ranging from Google to Shell.
The group forbids press coverage of its meetings and doesn’t record its closed-door discussions. Bilderberg did post its agenda on the group’s website, and this year’s topics of discussion are: “Artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, chemical weapons threats, current economic issues, European strategy, globalization, Greece, Iran, Middle East, NATO, Russia, terrorism, United Kingdom, U.S.A., U.S. elections.”
To critics, the Bilderberg players and their agenda are evidence of an effort to impose a sinister world order. But some analysts say such a broad agenda being debated by 130 outsize egos over cocktails and canapes leaves little time to plot actual worldwide supremacy.
“When you throw in the 15 topics and then the obligation for everybody to have their 20 seconds of profound thought, you wind up getting pretty much of a gabfest with nothing much done,” said Gary Schmitt, a top security analyst at the American Enterprise Institute and former foreign intelligence adviser under President Reagan. “They enjoy being thought of as being ‘elite.’ But nothing comes out of it.”...Read more>>http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/jun/11/bilderberg-group-meets-amid-heavy-security-news-bl/#disqus_thread

Expedition To Study Global Warming Put On Hold Because Of TOO MUCH ICE
Andrew Kadar:
An expedition to study the effects of global warming was put on hold Wednesday. The reason? Too much ice.
The CCGS Amundsen, a Medium Arctic icebreaker and Arctic research vessel operated by the Canadian Coast Guard, was to travel throughout Hudson Bay, a body of water in northeastern Canada, but was rerouted to help ships who were stuck in the icy water.
A Coast Guard officer said the conditions were the “worst he’s seen in 20 years,” reports CBC news.
“Obviously it has a large impact on us,” says Martin Fortier, executive director of ArcticNet, which coordinates research on the vessel. “It’s a frustrating situation.”...Continue reading...

More than 60 cats rescued from Toronto apartment need urgent medical attention

Toronto Cat Rescue says the Ragdoll and Himalayan cats were removed from a one-bedroom apartment by Toronto Animal Services and brought to the shelter last week.
The cats suffered through a "terrible hoarding case," rescue staff said. Their owner reported and surrendered them after she was hospitalized and realized she could no longer care for them.
Heather Brown, executive director of Toronto Cat Rescue, said many of the cats have skin lesions, rotting and broken teeth, upper respiratory infections and eye infections. But the first priority for each cat is shaving it down to the skin. Their coats are completely matted with urine and feces, she said, which causes them severe pain.
"They're terrified, obviously. They have no idea what's happening to them," Brown said. "But already we're seeing signs that they're grateful. As we're shaving them they're purring, and just so happy to get some relief from the discomfort."...Read more...

Temple Faithful Movement plans march to demand government 'remove enemies from Temple Mount and rebuild third Temple.'
Model of Third Temple (illustration)
By Ari Yashar: On Tisha B'Av this Sunday, a fast day mourning the destruction of the
First and Second Temple, Jewish activists plan to protest against the discrimination against Jews on the Temple Mount and the impunity given to Arab terror-supporters on the holy site, in a call to build the Third Temple.
The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement (also known as the Temple Faithful Movement) plans to march to the Temple Mount at 11 a.m. on Sunday, the Movement's head Gershon Salomon told Arutz Sheva on Thursday.
Salomon said the march is meant to mourn the "destruction of the Holy Third Temple by Israel's enemies" - in other words the prevention of the construction of the Third Temple, which is said to prelude the final redemption, due to the presence of hostile Muslim sources on the holy site.
Likewise the protest is meant to mourn how Hamas and Islamic State (ISIS) are allowed to go around "carrying their flags" on the Mount, the holiest site in Judaism.
During the event, Salomon intends to call on the Israeli government "to remove the enemies from the Holy Temple Mount, to return the Holy Temple Mount to Israel and to immediately rebuild the Holy Third Temple."...Continue reading...

'Showing the truth': Kurdish pop star takes on ISIS with beauty, song
Helly Luv struggled to make it as a pop star in Hollywood, then followed her dream in the service of her people.
She’s been likened to Shakira and Lady Gaga, but Helly Luv, the Kurdish pop star who is using her striking beauty and vocal talents to tell the world about her people's fearless fight against ISIS, is an original.
The 26-year-old sensation whose real name is Helen Abdulla sings about war, dead bodies and revolutions, but her grim subject matter is aimed at promoting peace through victory over the black-clad terrorist army and ultimately, an independent state for Kurdistan. In “Risk it All,” the video of which has more than four million hits on YouTube, a midriff-baring Luv dances as she sings, “Put your guns up in the air; your guns up in the air.”...Continue reading...

Victim upset accused attacker avoiding justice
By Hannah Spray, The Starphoenix: Dayton Marble holds up pictures his wife took of him after he was assaulted while on the job as a security guard at a Social Services office. Photograph by: Richard Marjan, The Starphoenix , The Starphoenix
A man who was attacked while working security at a
Social Services office is alarmed that more than a year later, his
attacker appears to have left the province and is not facing justice.
On April 8, 2014, Dayton Marble noticed a client at the Social Services office in downtown Saskatoon getting upset with the employees at reception. Marble said he approached the man and asked him to settle down.
"He didn't, so I told him he'd have to leave. The next thing I know he was in my face, yelling at me that I'd killed all his Muslim brothers in Somalia and Afghanistan," Marble said. The next moment, the man had a chair over his head and the next thing Marble remembers is being down on the ground, fighting.
Marble, 58, suffered numerous injuries, including three rotator cuff tears and a shredded bicep tendon. He was off work for 11 months. While he still works for the same private security company, he is not stationed at Social Services anymore.
Hady Abdul Mohamed was charged with assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats.
His case was directed into the mental health strategy at Saskatoon provincial court, but after being given a month to see a psychiatrist, Mohamed failed to show up for a June 2014 court appearance. A bench warrant for his arrest is still outstanding.
Marble, who's been told Mohamed is in British Columbia, said he has reached out to police, prosecutors, provincial and federal government officials, but feels that all he gets is the runaround. Due to Mohamed's refugee status, there are many layers of government involved, and each response Marble gets to his inquiries points to someone else he should be talking to, as evidenced in the correspondence he's kept.
He did get some answers from the provincial Crown, although it wasn't what he wanted to hear. Marble shared an email he received from Daryl Rayner, executive director of public prosecutions in Saskatchewan, which said the Crown would not extend the arrest warrant to B.C., nor request Mohamed be held in custody if he's arrested.
"The prosecutors will instruct the police that if Mr. Mohamed is arrested in a jurisdiction outside Saskatchewan, he should be released to appear back in Saskatoon on a specified date," Rayner wrote. "Given the nature of the charges and the accused, we will not extend the warrant to British Columbia to have him arrested and returned in custody."
A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice said he couldn't comment on the specific case.
"People who receive a second chance to appear on their own in a Saskatchewan court - after being found by officers in another police jurisdiction, for example - but who choose not to attend can expect a different result next time, as well as at least one further criminal charge and proportionate consequence," Jordan Jackle said in an emailed statement.
Marble said he doesn't understand how someone who's charged with a crime is just allowed to leave the province and, presumably, continue accessing government services in another one.
"I was born in this country. I served in the military, and I feel like a second-class citizen, the way the government's handling this," Marble said. "How can a person like that be allowed to basically roam around the country with no consequences?" hspray@thestarphoenix.com

Peruvian government anthropologists will try to make contact for the first time with an Amazonian tribe
that largely lives isolated in the jungle, as part of a bid to ease
tensions with nearby villages after a bow-and-arrow attack in May.
The anthropologists will try to talk with a clan of Mashco Piro Indians to understand why they have been emerging from the forest.
In recent years the Mashco Piro have increasingly been spotted seeking machetes and food outside their jungle enclaves in the Manu National Park in southeastern Peru...Read more, photos...http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/southamerica/peru/11754812/Peru-to-make-first-contact-with-isolated-Amazon-tribe.html

By Michael Bastasch:
After ostensibly trying to separate
global warming from national security concerns, Democratic presidential
candidate Martin O’Malley Monday jumped on the bandwagon of those
claiming global warming created the conditions necessary for Islamic
State to grow.
“One of the things that preceded the failure of the nation-state of Syria and the rise of ISIS was the effect of climate change and the mega-drought that affected that region, wiped out farmers, drove people to cities, created a humanitarian crisis that created the symptoms — or rather the conditions of extreme poverty — that has now led to the rise of ISIL and this extreme violence,” O’Malley, the former governor of Maryland, told Bloomberg news in a question about foreign policy.
O’Malley’s comments echo those of the Obama administration and environmentalists who are trying to paint global warming as not just an environmental issue, but also a national security problem.
In May, Obama told graduates of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy to prepare for the fight against global warming. The White House has been trying to shift the focus of global warming away from temperature and more towards public health and national security.
In past comments, O’Malley made a point to declare global warming a “natural threat,” distinguishing it from “man-made” threats, the greatest of which he said is a nuclear Iran.
“The greatest danger that we face right now on a consistent basis in terms of manmade threats is — is — nuclear Iran and related to that, extremist violence,” O’Malley told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos March 29. “I don’t think you can separate the two. I think they go together.”...Continue reading...

Apache Stronghold Blazes Through Country
Wendsler Nosie, one of the main organizers of the Apache Stronghold caravan and former San Carlos Apache tribal chairman, stands among supporters in New York City. (Apache Stronghold)
Christina Rose:
From hip hop dancers to churches, universities to a flash mob in Times Square, add a stop in New Jersey to drum in a Neil Young concert, and the grassroots caravan called Apache Stronghold has blazed a path through America. Their goal is to educate the public about the loss of Oak Flat, their sacred homeland which has been handed to Resolution Copper, a British/Australian company that intends to drain the mountainous region of the country's largest source of copper. In so doing, the Oak Flat area within the federally held Tonto National Forest will become a toxic waste pit...

A Saskatchewan man says he filed a human rights complaint because negative media coverage of the Confederate flag debate is discriminatory and promotes hatred.
Dale Pippin's family is originally from North Carolina, but settled in Canada 110 years ago. He takes great pride in his Southern U.S. heritage and sometimes displays the Confederate flag on his vehicle, although he's more reluctant to do so given the intense debate about the controversial symbol, he said.
For Pippin, the flag represents his family roots and the sacrifices his descendants made fighting in the Confederate army during the American Civil War; for others, the flag represents a legacy of slavery and proracist views.
"Racism and hate have been linked to the flag for far too long and it's incorrect," Pippin said in an interview, noting history is filled with "bad instances" when people have linked themselves with other symbols...Continue reading...

Nothing says anti-gay like 5,000 naked people
by Emily Lodish: You might say they know how to grab a headline.
An anti-gay political party in Kenya has vowed to
greet President Barack Obama when he visits later this month with 5,000
"totally naked" male and female protesters.
They aim to express dismay over Obama's recent
support for gay rights and impress upon him the difference between a man
and a woman — a difference Obama will no doubt be able to absorb when
not shielding his eyes.
According to a statement by the Republican Liberty Party, published by the Nairobi Times, the naked protesters are taking a stand against "Obama's open and aggressive support for homosexuality."
The party's main objective is for him to see and understand the difference between a man and a woman...Continue reading...

#TrumpYourCat: Felines show off their Donald Trump-worthy 'dos
Ree Hines
TODAY: Donald Trump is well known for his polarizing opinions and his political ambitions. But if he has one defining trait above all, it's the hair.
His carefully coiffed 'do is one of a kind — or at least it was.
The #TrumpYourCat movement is hilarious and makes us feel really bad for these cats: http://t.co/82PmnjkJkx pic.twitter.com/QUEzg2Ctn7

Israel Strikes Gaza Terror Targets in Response to Rocket Fire
Israeli responded with airstrikes after a rocket fired from the Gaza
Strip hit southern Israel on Wednesday night. Photo: Twitter.
JNS.org – The Israeli Air Force struck terrorist infrastructure in the Gaza Strip early Thursday morning in response to a rocket fired overnight from Gaza into southern Israel.
In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces said it holds the Gaza-ruling Hamas terrorist group responsible for all attacks emanating from the area.
“We will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli citizens,” the IDF said.
Sirens sounded in several sites across southern Israel around 2 a.m. Thursday. A rocket fired from Gaza exploded in an open area in the Ashkelon region. No injuries or damage were reported. Security forces searched for the remnants of the rocket. http://www.algemeiner.com/2015/07/16/israel-strikes-gaza-terror-targets-in-response-to-rocket-fire/#

An Urgent Warning to US President Obama, the EU, and the UN
Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement:
The Call and Warning of the G‑d of Israel From Jerusalem to All of Them: "Stop Pressuring Israel to Divide Her Land and to Make the Holy Temple Mount and Jerusalem an Islamic Capital."
Just recently United States President Barack Obama, the European Union (EU), and the United Nations (UN) warned Israel again that they are committed to share and divide the Land of Israel for two states and two peoples. President Obama even stated that he could not protect Israel at the United Nations if the enemy of Israel, headed by Abu Mazen — the leader of the Fatah terror organization, will ask the United Nations to pass a resolution that will establish a so-called "Palestinian" state in the Land of Israel. According to this resolution, Jerusalem and the Holy Temple Mount would become the capital of this foreign Arab Islamic terror state, that never existed in the Land of Israel or in any other place in the world, and will never ever exist in the Promised Land given by G‑d only to His Chosen People Israel forever. For years the President of the US, the EU, and the UN have not ceased putting pressure on Israel to accept this false, evil, and ungodly plan. Often times, they have backed and given support to the Arab and Islamic states who have been fighting since 1948 — and even in the decades before — with one main goal: to destroy Israel and to push the people of G‑d into the Mediterranean Sea. Now this immoral and ungodly pressure comes to its climax. For their own economic and political interests, they are prepared to sell-out Israel and to forsake the children of Israel, the people of G‑d. They warn the leaders of Israel to give-in to this evil plan or else "... Israel will be isolated among the nations of the world and even stand alone" against her many enemies who surround her from every side. They are even determined, as we are writing this article, to sign an agreement with Iran, the terror state who calls again and again to "remove Israel from the map of the world". This agreement will actually help Iran to complete the construction of nuclear weapons that it is preparing in order to destroy Israel...Continue reading...

A 'Mini Ice Age' Is Coming—and Soon
Canoeing will probably be out of the question. (AP Photo/Matt Rourke)

In the words of the Starks,
winter is coming—and it's going to be bad. Using a new model to
forecast the sun's activity, scientists predict solar activity will fall
by 60% in the 2030s to conditions not seen since a "mini ice age" in
1645. For almost two centuries, scientists have known that the sun's
activity changes on a 10- to 12-year cycle. Each cycle is slightly
different and predicting the sun's activity has proven difficult thanks
to a dynamo caused by fluid deep within the sun. However, after
reviewing magnetic field activity over three solar cycles, researchers
say they've found a second dynamo close to the sun's surface. "They both
have a frequency of approximately 11 years, although this frequency is
slightly different," researcher Valentina Zharkova explains. The new
model based on the pair has allowed for "unprecedentedly accurate
predictions," per Science Daily. As if to crush all hope of warmth, Zharkova notes they're 97% accurate...Continue reading...

Summer safety tips; Stay out of the 'shark's house'...
Posted in: BuzzWorthy: While it is no laughing matter in South Carolina, a shark attack
video’s advice is billing itself as “summer safety tips” in an apparent
attempt to try and lighten the mood. A Tennessee woman named
Veronica-Pooh Nash Poleate posted the Facebook video because she
believes that in “perilous and troublesome times, we need to laugh.”
In a related report by the Inquisitr, a shark attack expert claims that “something strange is going on,” although perhaps the sharks are not nearly as strange as the waters turning blood red around the world.
In the video, Veronica-Pooh Nash Poleate shares her thoughts on the recent shark attacks in South Carolina and offers ways people can avoid being bitten.
“I’m not going to the ocean because that’s the shark’s house. The shark has the right to eat you up if you in his house,” Poleate says in the video. “When chickens come in my house, guess what? They get ate. When pigs come in my house, they on the plate. So when you go in the shark’s house, you gonna get ate up.”...Continue reading... World News

Bruce Almighty finds his permanent home
By
Whitney Stinson
Anchor Global News
Regina – Good news for Bruce Almighty the cat. He has found his permanent home.
Melissa Fiacco has happily stepped up to care for cat who has been through so much.
Earlier this year the cat was found tied up by electrical tape, left outside in the extreme cold. The tape was severely restricting the cats’ circulation and caused massive tissue loss and infection.
He had to have several surgeries to save his limbs, and he lost eight toes in the process.
The Regina Humane Society said it’s been a long recovery for Bruce, but that he’s a determined little fighter who surprised many. His story inspired $24,000 in donations through a GoFundMe page.
Fiacco said it was a very emotional experience picking him up from the shelter Thursday. She said humane society staff had very tearful goodbyes with Bruce, who has had a big impact on many.
“The global response to Bruce Almighty was so compelling,” said Fiacco. “It is my wish that the compassion and concern Bruce experienced transcends into the way we respond to vulnerable people in our communities.”...Continue reading... http://globalnews.ca/news/2089635/bruce-almighty-finds-his-permanent-home/

photographing birds and other wildlife around his home in California,
but perhaps nothing will ever top what he witnessed last spring while
shooting near Kitsap, Washington: a crow riding atop a bald eagle. It only lasted for a few seconds, but Chan managed to capture the entire encounter on film. He shares about the image: Read here, more photos...

Hamas to Legalize Gay Suicide Bombers
Ahmed al-Tabi, Hamas’ cultural minister promised that “a future of equality is in store for Palestinians” and that “the Zionist entity does not have a monopoly on progressive policies. And by the way, they’re still way, way behind most western countries despite all of the media hype. We’re just way, way, way behind.”
“We want to create a society where a homosexual feels comfortable strapping on a suicide belt and blowing himself up. There’s no reason that only a straight man or woman should have that privilege.”
Hamas has further agreed to implement an affirmative action program to encourage more gays to train to be bombers.
“Here at Hamas, homophobia is a thing of the past. May we reach a point where all the gays have blown themselves up.” http://www.theisraelidaily.com/hamas-to-legalize-gay-suicide-bombers/
