Between 50 and 80 millimetres of rain could deluge the Saskatoon area
by Saturday, according to a rainfall warning issued by Environment
Canada.
A statement on Environment Canada’s website says a low pressure system will linger over central Saskatchewan Friday and Saturday, dropping the heaviest rain in a band between Saskatoon and Prince Albert.
Environment Canada also says a northwest wind will pick up on Friday, blowing 40 kilometres an hour with gusts of 60 km/h, “making for a rather miserable couple of days.”
The rain is expected to taper off Sunday morning. Read here.
