China beating war drums in dispute with Philippines. Manila says U.S. pledged protection in regional waters

...The Chinese government is warning its citizens to stay away from the Philippines and is warning of the prospect of a war over the rights to water, islands and petroleum drilling in the South China Sea.
An editorial in the government mouthpiece, China Daily, said that Manila is living “in a fantasy world if it mistakes our forbearance for timidity.”
The editorial went on to say that “no matter how willing we are to discuss the issue, the current Philippine leadership is intent on pressing us into a corner where there is no other option left but the use of arms.”...Read here... video
