Two moose roaming Saskatoon on Saturday were tranquilized and removed from the city.
Saskatoon police say two adolescent bull moose were munching on some vegetation around the 2500 block of Avenue C North on Saturday afternoon. Because the large animals were close to busy roads, officials decided to relocate the moose to a rural area.
Saskatchewan Environment officials were called to assist and the moose were tranquilized while police diverted traffic from the area. The temporary sedative was reversed once the moose, which are expected to fully recover, were in a safe area.
