School kids think chat with astronaut Hadfield was out of this world

Students from Valley Manor School in Martensville were able to ask questions of Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield as he orbited Earth aboard the Internnational Space Station as a result of a communications link established by members of the Meewasin Amateur Radio Society Monday, March 11, 2013. By Betty Ann Adam: Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield told Martensville school kids he lives with good people aboard the International Space Station and gets to talk to people all over the Earth.“I’m not lonely at all,” he said Monday during a live chat from space with students at Valley Manor Elementary School. Operating the Canadarm is like playing with a big, real video game robot and leaving the Earth in a rocket feels like an amazing ride at the fair, he said. “It feels very powerful.
