State of emergency in flooding Saskatchewan towns. Officials expecting more water.

Flooding is causing difficulty in Saskatchewan including at Borden and Radisson on Monday. At Borden, the Reonspis family, including Brenda, evacuates their farmyard, which is surrounded by water.

The letters E-M-C are scrawled with marker on a plain white door in Radisson's town office, where the community has centred its flood fight efforts.
The letters stand for Emergency Measures Centre, which was set up Monday afternoon after the town council declared a state of emergency to better fend off rising waters in the community nestled along Highway 16 northwest of Saskatoon.
Maidstone and the village of Borden - both on Highway 16 - also recently declared states of emergency as residents in those communities and elsewhere in Saskatchewan are threatened with a swift spring runoff...Continue reading...
