Trailer Park Boys Announce Acquisition and New Season

DAILY NEWS: The Canadian comedy trio of Robb Wells, John Paul Tremblay and Mike Smith, also known as Ricky, Julian and Bubbles, are thrilled to announce they have acquired the rights to the 'Trailer Park Boys' franchise from the show's original producers, Mike Clattenburg, Barrie Dunn and Mike Volpe.
The 'Boys' are widely considered Canadian comedy icons and the ground-breaking mockumentary series has lived in the hearts of fans for more than a decade. Mike, Robb and John Paul are extremely excited to announce to the fans around the globe that a brand new season of Trailer Park Boys is already in pre-production and will be available on their new internet channel, SwearNet.com.
The acquisition does not include the recently completed third TPB feature film, tentatively titled 'Trailer Park Boys 3: Don't Legalize It'. However, aside from this third feature, the assets acquired include all prior TV series, specials, the first and second feature films and all their combined assets and underlying intellectual property rights.
Clattenburg, Dunn and Volpe are very happy Robb, John Paul and Mike will continue the TPB brand. "While the three of us have moved on to different TV and film projects, the Boys are the only ones with the intimate knowledge and love of the show to keep Trailer Park Boys alive and well," says Mike Clattenburg.
When informed the cameras would be returning to Sunnyvale to follow them around again, the Boys made the following comment:"The camera dicks are coming back? This is gonna be f#@*ed!!"
