World traveller hired to be Saskatchewanderer

Saskatchewanderer spends the year touring Saskatchewan and sharing her adventures

World traveller Ashlyn George is the new Saskatchewanderer.

Ashlyn George has travelled six of the world's seven continents. She plans to visit the last, Antarctica, early next year.
George describes herself as an outdoor adventure adrenalin junky. She completed her dive masters in the Galapagos Islands, trekked through untouched national parks in Madagascar, hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu - and that was just in 2014. Before then, she went skydiving in New Zealand, climbed Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia, and hiked the Rucu Pichincha trail in Ecuador, among many other adventures.
Her latest great adventure: Exploring her home province as Tourism Saskatchewan's "Saskatchewanderer."
After everything she has experienced as a traveller, one might think that coming back to Saskatchewan is a bit bland, but George disagrees.
