REUTERS/Chris Wattie By Kristy Kirkup Parliamentary Bureau OTTAWA - Several matters of "international peace and security," including the Syrian crisis, will be on Prime Minister Stephen Harper's agenda as he ventures to China Monday.
Harper's chief spokesman Andrew MacDougall said there will be many global issues to discuss with Chinese officials during the upcoming visit.
"I anticipate the prime minister will raise several matters of international peace and security with his Chinese hosts, including the situation in the Middle East," said MacDougall.
The Prime Minister's Office wouldn't specify if Canada will pressure China on its decision to veto a UN resolution calling for Syrian President Bashar Assad to step down...Continue reading...
