For a world leader, Justin Trudeau is astonishingly naive. His
remarks the other day on Canada’s new role on the sidelines in the war
against ISIS sounded more like what you would expect from a beauty
pageant contestant. He stopped just short of asking why can’t we all
just get along.
What he did say was almost as troubling.
“The lethal enemy of barbarism isn’t hatred,” pronounced the prime minister, “it’s reason.”
I don’t know if he took questions, but it might have been
illuminating to ask for a single example, in all of recorded human
